PRS - Pannus Retention System

The TZ Medical Pannus Retention System is an important addition to our IR lab. It provides excellent support without the need for sticky tape and straps. It is easy to set up, use, remove, and endlessly adjustable.

Interventional Radiology Supervisor | Banner Baywood Medical Center

The Pannus Retention System is a great system because it is more efficient than grabbing tape and struggling to make it adhere to the patient. Additionally, it can be embarrassing for a patient to have their pannus taped up, and the PRS increases patient dignity by making it seem like it is a normal step in our workflow.

My experience has been excellent. I appreciate the thorough education with the staff and how dedicated you are to helping them understand the product and how to use it.

Thank you for coming by to help Dr. Giltner. We have greatly succeeded with your pannus retention system for tissue deflection and supporting our left arm cases. We will continue to use this product instead of using excessive tape.

The Pannus Retention System has changed how we position our patients on the cath lab procedure table for a femoral access approach. We have used tape and straps in the past to move the patient’s pannus to visualize and clean the femoral area. The Retention system has made it so much more comfortable for the patient and easier for the staff to set up the patient for their procedure. It is versatile, easy to use, and can be repositioned easily. We love this product.

We originally brought in the PRS due to a needle stick. We had a patient with a hanging Pannus that was taped up so we could access the femoral artery. Before the doctor could gain access, the tape let go, and the patient’s pannus had to be manually held back. Our Cardiology Fellow who was starting the procedure attempted to hold back the pannus with one hand while anesthetizing the area with his other hand. He inadvertently pulled the needle out of the patient and stuck his hand that he was using to hold back the patient’s pannus. We tried the PRS, and the staff and doctors all agreed that the PRS was a more secure and safer alternative to tape alone. In the months that we have been using it, we have seen that this system has increased patient and staff safety.

I just wanted to let you know how grateful we are that your company has brought the Pannus Retention System to the market. This has been a game changer for us and has allowed for easier access for our physicians. This device makes providing high-quality care to our patients easier than ever. We also use your armboards with the lead shield covering, which helps protect our staff from extra radiation while maintaining high patient comfort levels. Reducing scatter radiation that our staff receives while in a case has been a number one quality metric that your device has exponentially helped us to succeed. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Comfort Halo

I like the Halo because it is easy to adjust the drape during pacemakers and perm catheter procedures. Patients can become claustrophobic when the drape is on their face, so the adjustability is comfortable for both the patient and doctors.

The Comfort Halo is exactly what our lab needed for IR/Cath lab procedures. I have many cases where the patient's face/head must be covered for sterility. And more often than not, the patient is a bit claustrophobic. The Halo is easy to insert under the mattress and keeps the drape off of the patient. It is easily adjustable to accommodate the physician during the procedure.

We have been using this product (Comfort Halo) for several years. I love that it's adjustable and enables our patients to see out from under the drape. Thanks for a great quality product!

We recently ordered the Comfort Halo, and it works exceptionally well. The Comfort Halo is flexible and still strong enough to allow us to reshape for left or right-side ppm insertions.

Prior to this position, I was the Charge Nurse in the Cath lab, where I was introduced to the TZ Medical line of products. I have been very satisfied in the four years I have used their products. Our lab currently utilizes the Halo for pacemakers and other procedures near the patient's head. The Halo is easy to use and allows the drape to be away from the patient's face, making them more at ease and allowing us to communicate better.
