The TZ Story

When founders Tom Tribou and Byron Zahler sat planning their new company in a Portland coffee shop in 1990, they made two bedrock decisions: They would turn the paradigm for medical equipment manufacturing on its head by listening to medical professionals on the front lines first, before ever huddling with their own engineers. And pricing would be at the value level, to ensure that these bright ideas would get into the hands of critical-care medical professionals much faster.

Today TZ Medical is known as "those Oregon guys" who have neurons firing on their behalf in some of the finest medical minds in hospitals throughout the world. These men and women have often supplied the missing piece of a puzzle. Revealed the essence of a problem. Or posed the perfect 'What If?' to solve a dilemma.
