 | TZ Medical in the News TZ Medical client Bergan Mercy Medical Center saves $49,000 a year! When Alegent Health System's Bergan Mercy Medical Center set out to conduct a three-month study on post-heart catherization closure pad devices they weren't sure what to expect. Their aim was to evaluate three products based on quality, efficiency and cost. The products evaluated were Syvek Patch, Chito Seal, and our Neptune Pad. The key factors were evidenced on hemoatoma rate, nursing staff feedback and price of each device. All three devices were evaluated to be equal in quality and efficiency. Cost was the only comparable factor. At the end of the study the decision was made to use TZ Medical's Neptune Pad. The net result was a decrease in supply cost of $49,000 annually. This made such an impact, they submitted the study for an Alegent Health Supply Chain Scholarship Award.
